Since the 1980s Poliziano has been one of the leading lights modernising the Montepulciano scene. Their organic vineyards and state-of-the-art winery produce some of the juiciest and most elegant wines from the region. Their Rosso di Montepulciano is a lovely introduction to their range, a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot which delivers bags of ripe cherry and plum fruit over a firm backbone of acidity and tannins to keep the wine fresh-tasting.
